**Job Summary:**
Gateway Special Recreation Association is seeking warm, enthusiastic, and patient individuals to join as Camp Counselors for children with special needs. As a Camp Counselor, you will have the opportunity to develop essential skills such as leadership, communication, problem-solving, and relationship management while creating memorable experiences and nurturing positive memories for campers.

**Responsibilities:**
- Supervise and engage campers in various recreational activities and programs
- Ensure the safety and well-being of campers at all times
- Lead age-appropriate recreational activities, games, and crafts
- Assist with mealtime supervision
- Provide guidance and support to campers in conflict resolution
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive and inclusive camp environment
- Maintain accurate records of camper attendance, incidents, and behavior

**Qualifications:**
- Enjoy being in the company of children, particularly those with special needs
- Physical stamina for outdoor activities and play
- Ability to educate and mentor campers in a fun and engaging manner
- Proficiency in implementing Positive Behavior Support plans
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Problem-solving skills and a team player mentality
- Capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds and understanding written information

**Requirements:**
- Minimum age of 16 years
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred (training provided)
- Ability to pass a background check

**Salary:** $14.00 per hour
