We are looking for warm, enthusiastic, and patient individuals interested in being a Summer Day Camp Site Supervisor. Site supervisors are individuals looking to develop career-building skills such as leadership, planning, organization, communication, problem-solving and relationship management abilities. Day Camp Site Supervisor is to act as a liaison between the Day Camp Director and their assigned site. S.S. is the leader in charge of the day-to-day operations of camp. S.S. maintain a calm camp environment and actively regulate the needs of all campers and counselors. S.S. are responsible for the supervision of all counselors and activities coordinators assigned to their camp. S.S. maintain regular and consistent communication with the Day Camp Director, parents/guardians and community members. Duties:

- Supervise and engage campers in various activities and programs

- Supervise and manage counselors at camp location

- Ensure the safety and well-being of campers at all times

- Develop and implement a safe, secure, compassionate, and fun camp environment for all campers and counselors

- Maintain all required documentation including but not limited to attendance, incident/injury reports, parent communications, petty cash.

- Recommend and implement all behavior techniques at assigned camp site. Train and assist counselors in the same.

- Well trained and versed in emergency policies and procedures

- Plan and lead age-appropriate recreational activities, games, and crafts

- Assist with mealtime supervision

- Provide guidance and support to campers in resolving conflicts or challenges

- Collaborate with other staff members to create a positive and inclusive camp environment Maintain accurate records of camper attendance, incidents, and behavior

Desirable Experience:

- Experience leading groups of people

- Experience working with children specially with special needs

- Stamina for standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing/pulling and playing outside for a prolonged period of time

- Ability to educate and mentor campers in a fun and engaging manner

- Good Written and oral communication skills

- Ability to work independently and with others

- Problem solver

- Team player

- Lifting and carrying 50 pounds

- Understanding written information

Requirements:

- Must be at least 21 years old or prior experience leading camps

- CPR and First Aid certification preferred (training will be provided)

- Ability to pass a background check

- Valid driver's license
