Rehabilitation Job Developer

Location: Lombard, IL

**Job Summary:**
The Rehabilitation Job Developer, also known as a Job Development and Placement Specialist in Social Services, is responsible for assisting individuals with disabilities in finding employment opportunities. They collaborate with clients, employers, and agencies to identify job openings, develop connections, and match clients with suitable employment opportunities.

**Responsibilities:**
- Conduct client assessments to evaluate skills, interests, and backgrounds, assisting in determining suitable career options and required skills for employment.
- Cultivate relationships with employers, industry organizations, and public agencies through networking, attending job fairs, and presenting the advantages of hiring clients.
- Match clients with appropriate job openings or training programs and collaborate with employers to channel potential workers to available positions within their organization.
- Provide interview preparation support to candidates, offer post-interview consultation to clients and employers, and facilitate the interview process.
- Research industry, company, labor market data, and employment trends to aid in the employment of individuals effectively.
- Assist case managers and job coaches, create articles showcasing the agency's job development role, and represent the agency to civic groups.

**Qualifications:**
- High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Possession of a valid driver's license, specifically an Illinois Driver's License.
- Previous experience in networking, business contacts, public speaking, and direct support job roles.
- 1-2 years of supervisory experience.
- Ability to assist individuals in transition and demonstrate drive.
- Proficiency in reading, comprehending written information, writing, and utilizing MS Office tools, including PowerPoint.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.

**Work Schedule:**
Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm. The regular work hours are daytime office hours; however, occasional evening and weekend work might be necessary based on assigned tasks. The role may also involve traveling within the community and working at various locations to fulfill job duties.

**Salary:**
$19.50 per hour.
